Recruitment through a freelance platform does not itself authorize publication of client documents or unnecessary disclosure of those documents to that platform.
Sharing Your Personal Information
Information may be shared with assigned language professionals and providers supporting hosting, document delivery, payments, communications or shipping, as needed for the requested service. Crest may also disclose information where legally required or reasonably necessary to protect rights and investigate misuse.
The information website uses Tawk.to for live chat. Automatic device-language browsing may open a public page through Google Translate, sending that public page address to Google. The original English view remains available by adding ?lang=en to the page address. These third parties operate under their own privacy terms. Use the order portal, rather than live chat, for sensitive source documents.
If analytics or advertising tools are enabled for a Crest service, their use should follow the applicable notices, consent choices and privacy requirements. Contact support@crestls.com for questions about the providers involved in your particular service.
Behavioral Advertising
You can control many cookie and advertising preferences through your browser and the relevant provider’s settings. Where Crest offers optional marketing or advertising choices, you may withdraw consent or opt out as applicable. Turning off nonessential advertising does not prevent you from contacting Crest. If processing crosses borders, applicable transfer requirements and agreed project restrictions must be considered. Freelancers, platforms and document sharing
We sometimes use independent language professionals found through Fiverr, Upwork and similar freelance platforms. Depending on the assignment, relevant source documents, names, reference material and instructions may be shared with the freelancer to translate, edit or interpret the requested content. Freelancers may be located outside your country.
Platform involvement varies: recruitment, messaging or file transfer through a platform may cause that platform to process the information shared there under its own privacy terms. Discuss any restriction on platform use, processing location or subcontractors with Crest before uploading. This notice does not authorize posting confidential documents publicly, using them for unrelated marketing or disregarding an agreed restriction.
For protected health information or other regulated records, the parties must confirm the applicable safeguards, permitted disclosures and any required business associate or data-processing agreements before sharing.
