Across your project

Coordinating Conference Interpreting Services with Document Translation Services

Conference materials can follow a separate translation schedule. Order translated agendas, presentation handouts or participant information in advance so the audience receives the appropriate written version.

When conference interpreting services is part of a larger project, identify the documents and live sessions as separate deliverables. Crest can discuss the sequence without treating one service as a substitute for the other.

Helpful answers

Questions clients ask.

Do we need simultaneous or consecutive interpreting?

Simultaneous interpreting runs alongside the speaker and usually requires a suitable audio setup. Consecutive interpreting uses pauses between speech segments. Share the agenda, audience size and languages so we can discuss the format.

Can you help plan the interpreter team?

Provide the event schedule, session lengths, languages and subject. We will discuss staffing and breaks, along with the technical arrangements the organizer needs to confirm.

What should speakers send in advance?

Share presentations, speaker names, agendas and specialist terminology when available. Agree on how confidential materials should be shared and updated before the event.

How do I reserve an interpreter?

Submit your request through the interpreter reservation page. Include the language or dialect, date, local time and time zone, duration, subject, and your venue or meeting link. Crest does not accept office visits. Interpreter availability and booking terms must be confirmed before the appointment.

Can I request an interpreter at short notice?

Use the interpreter reservation page and clearly mark your required start time. Provide the language, format and appointment details. Support can answer questions, but a request is not a confirmed booking until availability and terms have been agreed.

Can I change or cancel an interpreter booking?

Contact us as soon as plans change. Under the standard policy, cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged for the scheduled time. Your written booking confirmation may include project-specific terms. See our refund and cancellation policy.

Are travel time and expenses included in interpreter pricing?

For onsite work, ask for a written estimate that identifies the scheduled time, minimum charge and any travel costs. Confirm the full amount before booking.

Can I send materials to help the interpreter prepare?

An agenda, participant names, specialist terms and relevant passages can help. Agree on an approved way to share them, especially if they contain confidential information.

Can we ask the interpreter to stay longer?

Tell the coordinator as soon as an extension seems likely. Extra time depends on availability and the agreed charging terms; it should be confirmed before the session runs over.

Does Crest provide the interpreter’s joining instructions?

Once the booking is confirmed, follow the connection or arrival plan supplied for the assignment. Keep the on-the-day contact number available in case arrangements change.
